About The Position

The Pricing Manager leads the firm’s AI-enabled pricing strategy, translating technology-driven efficiencies into profitable, competitive, client-centered fee models. The role develops pricing proposals, matter budgets, fee estimates, and alternative fee arrangements using historical matter data, market intelligence, and AI-assisted scenario modeling. It assesses how generative AI and automation affect staffing, leverage, delivery time, cost, and margin, and incorporates those impacts into pricing recommendations. Working with attorneys and teams across Finance, Business Development, Legal Project Management, Innovation, and Technology, the Pricing Manager designs scalable pricing solutions for AI-enabled legal services. The role advises attorneys and firm leaders on value-based, fixed-fee, capped-fee, subscription, portfolio, and hybrid pricing structures; supports client and rate negotiations; and leads the pricing and financial components of RFPs, competitive bids, and client proposals. It also serves as an SME on Foundation Scoping and Foundation, stays informed about market developments and legal surveys, and applies predictive analytics and matter intelligence to benchmark fees and forecast outcomes. The Pricing Manager monitors matter budgets, work in progress, realization, collections, scope changes, and profitability, using automated alerts to identify risks and recommend corrective action. The role measures the financial impact of AI adoption, including productivity gains, technology costs, margin effects, client savings, and return on investment. In coordination with firm governance teams, it establishes standards for data quality, validation, confidentiality, and human review in AI-supported pricing analyses. It also maintains and improves pricing platforms, matter-budgeting tools, templates, dashboards, and knowledge resources.
