About The Position

IOCP is searching for its next Pricing and Tagging Coordinator for its Resale Select Thrift Store! This role involves owning the full pricing cycle for merchandise – from market research and system updates to pricing and tagging merchandise and moving it onto the sales floor. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The position is full-time and benefits eligible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience working in a retail or customer service setting
  • Excellent time management skills: ability to juggle multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Timely and dependable
  • Superior interpersonal skills - ability to work with a variety of people and build trusting relationships
  • Reliable, strong execution and follow through
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Canva
  • Ability to understand and learn database (Point of Sale) programs quickly
  • Ability to learn to operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and 2-wheel dolly (training provided, experience not required)

Responsibilities

  • Pricing and Tagging Incoming Inventory
  • Tagging, pricing, organizing and coordinating donations for racks and shelves, rotating, refilling, or removing merchandise in Resale and Resale2
  • Ensuring prep shelves are organized, and properly labeled with pricing
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to ensure competitive pricing
  • Execute and maintain accurate price updates within internal process
  • Manage stock levels to optimize product availability and minimize waste
  • Welcome, support and direct volunteer staff throughout the day, filling in critical positions when needed
  • Coach and empower volunteers in working with a diverse community of clients, customers, donors, and volunteers
  • Support the transition of the volunteer teams from one shift to the next including welcome shift trainings, and team meetings
  • Support volunteer retention by welcoming and training new volunteers and groups
  • Maintain a welcoming and positive experience that is inviting for all clients, volunteers, customers, and donors
  • Full understanding of the Point-of-Sale system and support volunteers in troubleshooting technology problems as they emerge
  • Fill in at cashier position when needed
  • Assisting with the web-store day-to-day operations
  • Communicate important information to Store Manager or other staff that may impact their work
