About The Position

The Pricing Analyst supports approved status of major business processes and systems required to do business with U.S. Government and reports costs internally.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year experience within supply chain, accounting/finance, business development or engineering within manufacturing.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • This position requires access to export-controlled information.   • Must be able to analyze, develop, and apply direct cost and performance data to develop estimates in support of new or follow-on business.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to organize large amounts of data while working independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, and/or Supply Chain.
  • 2 years experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Pricing.
  • 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ProPricer estimating software or other estimating software

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, evaluate, coordinate, prepare and oversee multi-million dollar cost proposals to government and commercial customers.
  • Assure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Truth Negotiations Act (TINA) with regard to cost proposal preparation, review, submission, and negotiations.
  • Review and interpret the RFP (Request for Proposal) for all pricing requirements and work the proposal team to set up the approach and schedule required for bidding the proposal.
  • Coordinate cost proposal efforts by interfacing with applicable departmental personnel including Finance, Contracts, Development, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Senior Management personnel, as well as customers and auditors.
  • Estimate labor and material costs for manufacturing and engineering based on requests for proposals from internal and external customers.
  • Research historical data in detail and develop fully compliant and accurate proposals.
  • Develop spreadsheet models and create fully traceable summaries.
  • Support changes or modifications with the customer, and participate as a member of the contract negotiation team.
  • Incorporate and perform the final certification process as required on all certificate proposals to the government.
  • Analyze and respond to customer fact-finding external audits.
  • Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
