About The Position

The Price Coordinator verifies vendor deliveries against packing slips, checks products for saleable condition, and ensures the company receives appropriate credits for shortages or breakage. The role maintains accurate shelf pricing, places and replaces shelf tags and promotional signs, and enters receiving and pricing records into the system. It also maintains the receiving area and provides helpful customer service on the sales floor. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain good relations with vendor delivery personnel while effectively verifying deliveries.
• Ability to maintain good relations with personnel, vendors, and customers to achieve positive results for the company.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Ability to perceive pricing tags, invoices, and products being delivered.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; a later physical-demands statement also says the role must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Sufficient mobility to place shelf tags, including reaching, reaching above the shoulder, bending or stooping, squatting or crouching; physical duties also include standing, twisting, and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Check vendor deliveries against packing slips and verify products are in saleable condition.
• Ensure the company receives proper credits for short deliveries or breakage.
• Ensure shelf prices match current prices in the system.
• Hang and replace shelf tags, display signs, and weekly advertisement signs.
• Enter receiving and pricing records into the system.
• Update and maintain store pricing in a timely manner.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the receiving area.
• Assist customers who ask questions on the sales floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
