About The Position

The Seaway Valley Prevention Council is hiring a Prevention Intern through a Paid Prevention Internship Opportunity (PPIO) under the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). The intern will work alongside agency Health Educators to provide evidence-based prevention education programs in the community and in school districts across St. Lawrence County. The role includes facilitating youth programming, designing social media graphics, and participating in community events. The intern must complete professional development training opportunities toward NYS Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) certification. The position involves local travel with mileage reimbursement, and some evening and weekend hours are required to accommodate community events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort with public speaking.
• Creativity.
• Ability to work as a team player.
