About The Position

Prose is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to serve as a technical leader in its cosmetics manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of production and facility equipment. The technician serves as the primary escalation point for complex equipment challenges, mentors junior staff, and helps drive proactive maintenance and continuous improvement. The position also supports equipment projects, staff training, maintenance documentation, and coordination across shifts and with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert on operational and engineering projects, driving deliverables and successful implementation.
• Develop, implement, and champion a proactive maintenance strategy using lean manufacturing techniques and reliability-centered principles, supporting a transition from preventive to predictive maintenance.
• Manage and optimize spare parts inventory and strategic reordering to minimize downtime and control costs.
• Mentor, coach, and provide advanced technical training to junior technicians.
• Troubleshoot complex and unresolved maintenance issues across shifts, including advanced mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Use the CMMS (Limble) to analyze equipment performance, track maintenance KPIs, identify failure trends, and generate leadership reports.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SOPs and maintenance documentation for critical production and packaging equipment.
• Train production and technical staff on new equipment, operating procedures, and autonomous maintenance practices.
• Identify and report potential equipment obsolescence, system vulnerabilities, and capital improvement opportunities to engineering and leadership.
• Maintain effective communication across shifts and with vendors, lead hand-off meetings, and document critical information.
