About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment through preventative maintenance processes. This includes work on mold machines, secondary equipment, and all related production equipment. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining service records and reporting daily activities to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Strong attendance
- Careful attention to detail and attention to the task at hand
- Employees must attend and pass tow motor safety program.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to safety navigate production floor
Responsibilities
- Maintain the production equipment through preventative maintenance processes, including but not limited to mold machines, secondary equipment and all related production equipment
- Maintaining service records on all equipment
- Report all daily activities to Supervisor
- Check operation of safety door
- Check panel lights, oil levels and temperature of hydraulic reservoir, and grease reservoir and tubing
- Do general overall check of molding machine and verify that the heat settings are normal for the molding conditions
- Do preventative maintenance such as: Hand grease system
- Maintain crane by doing inspection of controls, hooks, chains, cable and eyelets
- Check auto-lube system to make sure it is operating correctly and maintain grease and oil
- Report major oil leaks to maintenance repair people
- Maintain and update all maintenance records
- Assist Maintenance in repairs
