About The Position

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Preventative Maintenance Lube Technician/Fuel Truck Driver to support the operations in the Asphalt division. This position will be primarily responsible for performing minor preventative maintenance inspections, oiling and lubricating equipment, as well as fueling equipment. The positon is also responsible for the safe and efficent operation of the fuel truck.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum CDL Class B with required endorsements (Ability to operate both a manual and an automatic transmission)
  • A minimum of three years of experience performing similar duties in the asphalt paving or building materials industry.
  • Daily travel required.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on dump trucks, rollers, pavers and other mobile equipment.
  • Commitment to safety, including knowledge of site safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following all site procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with equipment inspections or minor maintenance.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Transport and drive equipment to and from regionally located job sites in a safe timely manner.
  • Move levers to operate and control equipment and computerized controls.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records such as; daily log, fuel tickets, delivery documentation, and other logs and documents in compliance with government regulations and Superior policies.
  • Inspect, monitor gauges and equipment, provide and document proper routine maintenance of truck, equipment, and supplies according to established policies. Report concerns or problems immediately.
  • Safely refuel equipment utilizing diesel and propane.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving skills and driving in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds and difficult situations, such as heavy traffic or inclement weather.
  • Operate trucks and equipment according to all laws, MDOT regulations and observes all safety regulations established by Superior and the Department of Motor Vehicles for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle.
  • Maintain a valid CDL B with the required endorsements and medical card. Schedule and attend required DOT physicals to maintain driving privileges.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Lubricate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on Asphalt mobile equipment.
