About The Position
CFT Recycling is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Assistant to support our Fleet Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the heavy truck and transport industry while working alongside experienced technicians. The wage for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Assistant or in a similar maintenance role is required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labour
Responsibilities
- Assist heavy truck technicians with repairs and maintenance
- Perform greasing and preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Assist with moving tools, parts, and equipment
- Support daily fleet service operations
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- Help maintain a safe and professional working environment
