As a Preventative Maintenance Tech II you will bring the ability to perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, install new mfg. equipment, follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and proper PPE use, and demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. It involves installing new manufacturing equipment, completing accurate PM tasks, using the CMMS.

Requirements

  • 2 years of minimum cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance, corrective, preventive, and testing in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams
  • Safe and effective use of common maintenance tools (carpentry, plumbing, assembly, etc.)
  • Background Screening
  • Drug Screening
  • Post-Offer Medical Questionnaire (clearance from Corporate Medical)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a Caterpillar facility
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and installation of manufacturing machine components
  • Experience utilizing CMMS

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
  • Install new manufacturing equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and proper PPE use
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Complete accurate PM tasks
  • Use the CMMS
  • Handle general maintenance tasks such as minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
  • Provide HVAC support
  • Perform filter and bulb changes
  • Perform painting
  • Move equipment or furniture
  • Operate forklifts and lifts
  • Transport equipment
  • Support production maintenance
  • Assist senior technicians
  • Supervise subcontractor work
  • Maintain customer and vendor relationships
  • Document parts and materials
  • Keep a clean, safe work area
  • Work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
