About The Position

Polycorp Ltd. is seeking full-time Production Team Members to join their team as Press Line Operators. The successful candidates will be responsible for manufacturing products while adhering to principles of safety, quality, and on-time delivery. This role involves the safe operation of compression presses, hot boxes, forklifts, cranes, walkies, and hand tools to produce a quality product and maintain a safe work environment. The company is a leader in engineered polymer products for the Mining, Rail, and Protective Linings industries, based in Elora, Ontario.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Mechanically inclined
Ability to work well with others
Understands principles of product and service quality
Team player and can communicate effectively with co-workers
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to work rotating shifts every two weeks
Own transportation is required as Polycorp is not located on a bus route

Responsibilities

Operate compression presses, hot boxes, forklifts, cranes, walkies, and hand tools safely.
Load and unload rubber from presses using forklifts.
Perform pre-use audits, quality load checklist audits, and quality in-process checks.
Inspect finished parts for quality and visual appearance, ensuring documentation is correct.
Trim parts to conform for end use.
Label all parts clearly and accurately.
Perform first-off inspections.
Perform daily pre-start inspections on cranes and forklifts for safety.
Ensure the weight of raw materials (prep) is correct prior to loading the press.
Record all production data on appropriate forms.
Maintain good housekeeping of the work area.
Report all Health and Safety issues immediately.
Wear all required PPE and work in a safe manner.
Ensure NCRs are filled out properly with clear, accurate explanations.
Conform to the requirements of ISO 9001 and Polycorp's QMS.
Follow press line schedules and routers.
Ensure raw materials are stocked and ready for use.
