We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Press Set Up Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for safely operate machines, to produce parts conforming to specifications.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of controls
- Ability to read blueprint and production procedures/instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude; must be responsible in the proper use of equipment in a safe manner
- Must be dependable, reliable and able to work well on a team
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
Responsibilities
- Perform blanking, piercing, forming and drawing operations on a variety of parts.
- Change material on smaller machines
- Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometer or other measuring instruments to verify workmanship standard.
- Perform in process inspection, follow control plan and record results.
- Communicates when there is an issue on the machine
- Document all required production data and prepare product for next step
- Other duties as assigned
