About The Position

As a Press Operator, you will support Brightstar Lottery’s production operations by assisting with the setup, operation, and monitoring of advanced flexographic printing presses used to manufacture instant lottery tickets. Under the direction of the Press Lead and Press Lead Backup, you will help ensure safe, efficient production while maintaining strict quality, security, and performance standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is fully onsite in Lakeland, Florida, and with 12 hour scheduled shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of related mechanical, manufacturing, or printing experience
Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
Able to follow detailed procedures and production workflows
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Nice To Haves

Experience operating flexographic printing presses
Background in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

Interpret job sheets to ensure accurate press setup and execution
Select anilox rolls, print sleeves, substrates, and materials appropriate for each job
Prepare and stage ink vats according to press and deck requirements
Mount plates, load ink, and adjust pH and viscosity to meet quality standards
Monitor press performance, web inspection cameras, and strobes during production
Adjust impression, plates, and registration to maintain print accuracy
Load and unload print sleeves, rolls of material, and substrates
Operate unwinders and manage substrate flow during print runs
Record production metrics, including footage printed, ink usage, and quality samples
Tag and track rolls to ensure proper material identification
Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures within the facility
