Requirements

  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift beginning either 7AM or 7PM.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift.
  • Ability to be a team player and interact with colleagues.
  • Ability to handle tread rolls 40 – 180 pounds with hoist lift repeatedly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use hoist lift to move rolls to the creel.
  • Pull prep ends to the loader prep claps.
  • Remove empty pallets from staging rack with hoist and stacks of empty pallets with motorized hand truck.
  • Demold and unload each platen starting with the top, middle, and bottom platen. Activate unloader bar.
  • Load and unload the press.
  • Turn on and adjust mold spray as required.
  • Align prep roll on the leading edge before closing the press.
  • Cut prep to fit into the mold.
  • Operate press control panel for closing and stopping the press.
  • Use guide controls.
  • Use MDAS system to print WIP and Splice tickets.
  • Roll tread up and trim all flash.
  • Inspect the tread while trimming for defects, marking when found.
  • Tag skid loads of trimmed treads.
  • Remove excess prep after each heat.
  • Assist the mold mechanic in mold changes.
  • Maintain established cycle times.
  • Accurately maintain the press log.
  • Perform all SPC functions as required.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork required
