About The Position

The Press Operator is responsible for the consistent collection, inspection, packaging, and documentation of parts produced from assigned press(es). This role ensures product quality, safety compliance, and adherence to ISO, GMP, and company standards. The operator has the authority to stop production and reject non-conforming product when defective parts are identified and to escalate machine or process concerns that may impact quality or safety. The position requires physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift 40-50 pounds, and perform visual inspections.   • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Ability to recognize acceptable vs. defective parts.
  • Ability to perform visual inspections and respond quickly to quality concerns.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and standards (ISO, GMP, safety).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods (12-hour shifts).
  • Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent collection and packaging of parts from assigned press(es).
  • Perform and document hourly quality checks to ensure product conformance.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all production-related documentation, including quality checks, scrap, and downtime.
  • Immediately communicate any quality or machine issues to the Shift Lead.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Follow all applicable safety, GMP, ISO, and company procedures.
  • Accurately record and report required production information.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming (defective) parts.
  • Collect parts from press machines and package them efficiently and correctly.
  • Conduct hourly quality inspections and document results.
  • Review parts for defects and differentiate between acceptable and non-acceptable product.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor production output and report downtime and scrap.
  • Maintain workstation organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Communicate effectively with the Shift Lead and team members regarding issues or abnormalities.
