About The Position

Volt is hiring a full-time Press Operator in Goleta, California. The position supports prototype and production manufacturing by setting up dies and operating press equipment. The operator inspects products for defects, feeds coil strip material through the die during production runs, and completes and maintains production documentation. The role requires maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing work environment and following required safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or press operation experience is preferred.
Ability to set up dies and operate press equipment.
Experience performing visual inspections using microscopes or other quality inspection tools.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic math skills.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
Ability to lift or pull up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and walk stairs as needed.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in metal stamping or precision manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with production documentation and work travelers.
Experience working with coil-fed press equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

Set up dies in press equipment for product prototype and production manufacturing.
Perform visual product inspections for defects using microscopes.
Feed new coil strip material through the die during production runs.
Complete and maintain accurate production documentation, including press sheets, press parameters, and work travelers.
