About The Position

This position works on the manufacturing floor and is responsible for operating stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment. The role requires maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, performing in-process checks, and ensuring parts are made to print according to quality requirements. The Press Operator I will also be responsible for data entry and performing daily safety checks on machines.

Requirements

Intermediate knowledge of blueprint reading
Proficient at setting up, adjusting and operating stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment
Ability to operate coil line and feeder equipment
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to be detail oriented
Ability to be dependable and trustworthy
Ability to be work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Adjust, and operate stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment
Make small adjustment to feeder equipment to feed material into press
Perform in process checks on parts and minimize scrap
Maintain a clean work area
Perform work in line with quality requirements and ensure that parts are made to print
Operate a forklift on a regular basis
Data entry on computer system
Perform daily safety checks on machines
Run single stroke hand feed and automatic presses
Turning on and turning off the machine
Make stock guides adjustment
Additional items as assigned by Supervisor
