This role is part of a 2-year Press Manufacturing Engineer Development Program designed to prepare individuals for the position of Press Manufacturing Engineer. Participants will learn the mechanics of presses and their maintenance/repair. Upon completion of the program, they will lead teams in maintaining and repairing presses, as well as improving equipment and processes through innovative ideas. The role focuses on optimizing the safety and quality of press maintenance to enhance equipment performance and reliability. While primarily a day shift role, occasional work on other shifts may be required for equipment repairs, training, or management support. The position involves extended hours, particularly during equipment failures. Collaboration with plant tradespeople, leaders, the headquarters press engineering group, suppliers, and controls engineers is essential for problem-solving, finding solutions, and implementing read-across solutions from other facilities. The role demands strong technical judgment and hands-on problem-solving skills.
