This role is part of a 2-year Press Manufacturing Engineer Development Program designed to prepare individuals for the position of Press Manufacturing Engineer. During the program, participants will learn the mechanics of presses and their maintenance/repair. Upon completion, they will lead teams in maintaining and repairing presses, as well as improving equipment and processes through innovative ideas. The focus will be on optimizing safety and quality in press maintenance to enhance equipment performance and reliability. The role is primarily a day shift position but may require work on other shifts for equipment repairs, training, or management assistance. Significant overtime may be required during equipment failures. The position involves collaboration with plant trades, plant leaders, the headquarters press engineering group, suppliers, and controls engineers to problem-solve, implement solutions, and share best practices from other facilities. Strong technical judgment and hands-on problem-solving skills are essential.
