About The Position
The Press Maintenance Repair Technician at Metalsa is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing press machinery to ensure continuous and efficient production operations. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in press maintenance within an automotive or metal stamping environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting.
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
- Ability to Commute: Hopkinsville, KY 42240 (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
- Do you have an associate's degree in industrial maintenance, Applied Sciences, Industrial Electrical Maintenance?
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on press equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical, and servo presses.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to maintain peak performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct equipment adjustments and calibrations to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Utilize troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure timely maintenance without disrupting operations.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Metalsa’s safety protocols and quality standards.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrades of press equipment.
- Train operators and junior maintenance personnel on basic troubleshooting procedures.
