About The Position

The Press Feeder assists the press operator with press setup and production. The role includes supplying paper stock, maintaining ink, handling pallets of printed material, and helping with preventative maintenance as needed. The employee is responsible for careful attention to detail and keeping machinery, equipment, and work areas clean, functional, and safe. Responsibilities

• Review work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine the ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
• Assist the press operator with press setup, including hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Keep the press supplied with top-quality paper stock.
• Pour ink into printing-unit reservoirs and maintain the ink agitator.
• Remove loaded pallets of printed material from the stacking mechanism using a pallet jack and replace them with empty pallets.
• Help with preventative maintenance duties as needed.
• Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to support proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
