About The Position

This role involves assisting the press operator with various tasks to ensure smooth production. The Press Feeder will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining the press, and ensuring the quality and safety of the work environment. Requirements

• Ability to review work orders or receive verbal instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for press setup.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas.

Responsibilities

• Review work order or receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
• Assist press operator with press set up, including hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Keep press supplied with paper stock of top quality.
• Pour ink into reservoirs of printing units and maintain ink agitator.
• Remove loaded pallet of printed material from stacking mechanism using a pallet jack and replace with an empty pallet.
• Periodically assist with preventative maintenance duties.
• Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
