About The Position

Join our team as a Press Feeder at our Mitchell Island location! If you're a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, we'd love to have you join our team!  In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our printing processes.  We are hiring at our Mitchell Island location at 11300 Twigg Place on our afternoon shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:15PM-1:45AM - enjoy a 3-day weekend!   Established in 1982, Great Little Box Company is a family-owned and operated leading manufacturer of Labels, Corrugated Boxes & Displays, Folding Cartons, Digital Print & Packaging, Protective Packaging, and the distribution of Shipping Supplies. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in manufacturing/printing
  • Basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions on the job ticket
  • Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and feeder mechanisms
  • Comfortable with entering data in computer
  • Eye for efficiency and thrives in a continuous improvement culture
  • Must be a team player

Responsibilities

  • Ensure material is loaded into feeders in an efficient manner for smooth operations
  • Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of paper
  • Provide assistance as needed to setup equipment
  • Assist with retrieving, hanging and recycling/storing plates
  • Troubleshoot quality and press issues
  • Follow department procedures
