About The Position

This position is responsible for producing aluminum extruded shapes that meet customer specifications. Key responsibilities include operating saws, moving material, operating an extrusion press, packing material, moving dies, and participating in 5S initiatives. The role emphasizes safety as the number one priority, ensuring accurate and timely business system transactions, and setting up and running equipment safely and efficiently to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements. The position also involves supporting company values, cross-training in various departmental functions, understanding and verifying manufacturing orders, adhering to department key measures, maintaining quality practices, and keeping the work area clean and orderly using the 5S system. Meeting delivery schedules is crucial for customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to recognize safety concerns
• Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment per designated area
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read die drawings and inspect parts and surface finish according to customer specifications
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Ability to perform and assist with preventive maintenance
• Strong communication skills
• Problem solver
• Multi-tasker
• Ability to properly identify materials

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to take part in additional training e. Extrusion 101
