About The Position

The basic function of the Press Brake operator is to set up and operate forming machines to fabricate parts. This role involves analyzing work orders, blueprints, and work pieces to set up and operate machines for manufacturing parts. The operator will also be responsible for checking parts throughout the production run using company-supplied measuring equipment to ensure quality and repeatability, verifying conformance to specifications, and accurately filling out work order routers.

Requirements

• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Calculate figures and formulas that pertain to the work area.
• Problem-solve undefined expectations.
• Computer literate.
• Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders, work pieces, and blueprints.
• Set up and operate machines as required to manufacture parts.
• Check parts throughout production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of process.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blue prints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Accurately fill out work order routers with correct quantity of good parts and scrap parts.
