About The Position

The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating high - precision power brake machines to bend, and form sheet metal components for our packaging equipment. This role involves working with heavy - duty machinery, specifically our Amada HFE 220 - 4 and Bystronic Xpert Pro 250/4300 . The operator ensures all parts are formed to precise specifications and quality standards, maintaining high throughput and on - time delivery for shop operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC Press Brake operation.
Proven track record of successful setup and operation in a precision metal fabrication environment.
Experience with Amada Operator or Bystronic ByVision CNC controls is highly preferred.
Proficiency in reading and understanding complex mechanical blueprints .
Strong knowledge of flat pattern layout and bend allowances.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Independent thinking, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to quality.
Excellent problem - solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
High energy level required; able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including the Amada HFE 220 - 4 and Bystronic Xpert Pro 250/4300, to perform precision forming and bending operations on stainless steel .
Surface Quality: Maintain strict standards for material handling to prevent scratches, marring, or contamination of stainless - steel surfaces.
Tooling Setup: Select, position, and align appropriate dies and tooling based on material thickness and blueprint specifications.
Precision Bending: Perform complex bends and sequences .
Quality Inspection: Conduct first - piece and in - process inspections using calipers, protractors, and height gauges to ensure quality output and blueprint adherence.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling to ensure longevity and safety.
Safety: Enforce and follow workplace safety standards, including proper use of PPE.
Team Support: Assist team members in other fabrication areas as needed to meet daily production goals.
Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
Other: Perform other duties as assigned.
