Press Brake Operator
About The Position
PEKO is a full-service, debt-free, privately-owned contract manufacturer with over 50 years embedded in the Rochester, NY community. In collaboration with our valued business partners, we deliver new product introduction (NPI) strategies for product commercialization and provide solutions in the medical, industrial, defense, and renewable energy industries. Enriching life is a crucial component of what we do daily. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of our press brake machines to perform a wide variety of prototype jobs, short run parts, and long run parts. The operator will need to inspect parts and make adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards. May also be asked to help in other areas such as: machining, pemming, laser/deburring.
Requirements
- 2+ years of press brake experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail
- US Persons
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Amada-type machines a plus
- Panel bender and slip roll knowledge a plus
Responsibilities
- Set up, run, and adjust machines to ensure quality parts
- Read blueprints and apply knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Works independently and with team members to help get difficult jobs done.
- Able to float and help in different sheet metal departments as needed.
