About The Position

Airmax Technologies is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Airmax Residential Air handlers and Glow Brand boiler systems. Airmax and Glow specializes in hydronic heating systems. We offer hydronic air handlers with prepackaged zone controls for optimal occupant comfort. Glow Brand Boilers are a highly efficient and reliable compliment to our Air handlers, but also can be use for Domestic hot water via a combi unit or stand-a-lone configurations. Airmax is looking for talented people with experience in manufacturing to join our growing team.

Requirements

  • 5 Years Min Press Brake experience required. Including setting up & operation.
  • Must have experience changing and setting-up Machine Tooling for fabrication of different components.
  • Must be able to make tool and program adjustments to maintain 0.001 +/- Tolerances
  • Must be able to use Measuring instruments including Vernier, Calipers, Squares and Protractors.
  • Must be able to do Quality Control Checks
  • In-depth understanding of the parts of a press brake and how the machine works
  • Must be able to read blueprints used in technical specification sheets
  • Computer skills to operate CNC software
  • Ability to remain upright and perform repetitive movements throughout most of a work shift
  • Arithmetic skills to perform measurements and calculate settings
  • Ability to move heavy or large pieces of sheet metal from one place to another
  • Observation skills to monitor the pressing process and inspect metal after pressing
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations for the manufacturing industry

Nice To Haves

  • Min High school diploma with preferred College technical certificate
  • High degree of Mechanical Aptitude
  • Knowledge of or experience with Heating and Air conditioning systems would be an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 Lbs
  • Safety boots, Safety glasses, and work gloves required at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a CNC or NC Press Brake: Setting up and operating the press brake machine according to specific job instructions and blueprints. This involves configuring the machine’s tools, dies, and other components for precise bending operations.
  • Material Preparation: Measuring, cutting, and aligning metal sheets or plates to ensure they meet the required dimensions and angles for the job. This includes verifying material thickness and type to match the machine settings.
  • Bending and Shaping: Operating the press brake to bend, punch, or shape metal into desired forms, ensuring each part conforms to specifications. This requires adjusting the machine for different bends and angles based on the design.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting the finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality, checking for defects or deviations from the blueprint. If necessary, adjusting the machine or reworking parts to correct errors.
  • Tool Maintenance: Performing regular checks on the press brake’s tools, dies, and components to ensure they are in proper working condition. This also includes cleaning and maintaining the press brake and tooling.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to established safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace to ensure a safe operating environment.
