In accordance with the Mission and Core Values, the President assumes responsibility and provides vision and leadership for all aspects of the operation of the College of Nursing and educational programs in accordance with policies adopted by the College of Nursing Board of Trustees. The President assumes the authority, accountability, and responsibility for all aspects of the College of Nursing organization and operations. They develop and maintain an appropriate administrative organization to ensure effective management of the College and its resources. The President reflects and role models the College of Nursing’s Mission and Core Values for students, faculty, staff, and the community. They develop and oversee a progressive and community-responsive College philosophy, including a comprehensive strategic plan in collaboration with the College of Nursing community and aligned with Mount Carmel Health System’s strategic plan. The strategic plan shall detail the institutional Mission, vision, Core Values, goals and objectives, priorities, and resources for the current and long-range needs. The President reports on strategy work plans and accomplishments. They are responsible and accountable for maintaining institutional accreditation and institutional diversity. The President serves as the official representative of the College of Nursing to internal and external constituencies and as a liaison with collaborating institutions. They oversee and submit all reports required by local, state, and national agencies. The President ensures effective orientation and training of faculty and staff, and oversees the infrastructure of the College of Nursing. They are responsible and accountable for the College of Nursing budget and financial activities and serve as a mentor and coach for all College of Nursing faculty and staff.
