About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside is a full-service 528-bed hospital founded in 1916. It is a prominent hospital offering a range of specialty care, continuing its mission of compassionate healthcare for the Jacksonville community. In addition to 24/7 emergency care, it delivers advanced surgical care for serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The hospital offers specialty care including heart and vascular, stroke, brain and spine, lung health, cancer, orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, and women's health. It also offers a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, imaging and lab tests, all on one campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
  • 5 years of leadership/management experience

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, MHA or related field
  • Proven experience leading a large facility with complex service lines

Responsibilities

  • Lead the senior management team in planning, directing and coordinating operations to achieve the organization's mission, strategic directives and goals.
  • Provide leadership to management team that enlists active participation/support and creates ownership of short- and long-term objectives necessary to achieve revenue/budget goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement policies and practices to deliver the optimal level of service to the community.
  • Ensure that services are consistent with the mission, vision, values and directives of the organization.
  • Create a culture and environment that attracts, motivates, develops and retains qualified associates and physicians.
  • Provide leadership for performance improvement and quality initiatives to achieve high quality of care and patient safety goals.
  • Ensure that the organization meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with medical staff. Integrates physician perspective in strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate and partners with key leaders across business units to optimize the delivery of care to patients, families, physicians and the community.
