About The Position

The president of the Business Competition Team is responsible for leading the Business Competition Team Student Executive Board in addition to both the DECA and FBLA chapters at Columbia College. Reporting to the director of the Business Competition Team & Robert W Plaster School of Business Events with oversight from the Dean, the duties include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

• Ability to fluently read, write, and understand the English language
• one year's experience with CSMAC
• graphic design and social media experience
• excellent organizational and communication skills
• Applicants must be current Columbia College students
• junior or senior standing preferred

Responsibilities

• Co-Lead the creation of a mission, Vision, Core Values and long-term plan with the Business Competition Team Director and members of the Business Competition Team and ensure those are kept at the forefront for Business Competition Team members.
• Oversee the Student Executive Board to ensure that the directives for Marketing, Recruitment, Events, and financial needs of the Business Competition Team set by the Director are met and executed.
• Hold Bi-weekly meetings with the Student Executive Board to discuss progress on initiatives, recruitment, events.
• Plan and execute Business Competition Team meetings in addition to DECA and FBLA Chapter meetings.
• Ensure the DECA and FBLA Chapters are meeting requirements for the respective organizations.
• Ensure all tasks from the Director are delegated to the correct position-holder with a plan for execution.
