About The Position

The President of Managed Services is a strategic, enterprise‑level leader responsible for the growth, operational excellence, P&L and client experience across a large, centralized managed services portfolio. This executive will oversee a diverse suite of services—including centralized procurement, facilities support, vendor management, equipment services, hard services, and integrated service solutions—delivered through a matrixed organization serving clients in education, healthcare, corporate dining, government and technology sectors. This role will partner closely with the CEO to design and implement a scalable commercial framework that enables current and future business units to effectively serve existing clients and expand into new relationships through cross-sell opportunities. This role is accountable for driving sustainable growth, strengthening operational performance, elevating service innovation, and ensuring the organization remains the partner of choice for clients nationwide. The President will lead the centralized organization, steward key customer relationships, and shape the long‑term strategy for a business generating hundreds of millions in annual revenue.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, or related service‑intensive industries.
  • Proven success leading large, multi‑unit, multi‑state operations with significant revenue responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale businesses, lead transformation, and deliver strong financial results.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels, including boards and C‑suite leaders.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with experience overseeing national or enterprise accounts.
  • Track record of building high‑performing, diverse teams and developing future leaders.
  • Experience navigating complex matrixed organizations and leading through change.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi‑year strategy to expand market share, grow revenue, and enhance profitability across all managed services lines of business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Lead innovation in service delivery, technology, and customer experience to differentiate the organization in a competitive marketplace.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape enterprise strategy and influence cross‑functional priorities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate and manage complex stakeholders’ relationships between Compass and the client.
  • Integrate new technologies that enhance business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across a large, geographically dispersed portfolio, ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑effective services.
  • Scale centralized procurement, vendor management and support, equipment services across all support services sectors
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational rigor across all service lines.

  • Serve as the executive sponsor for major national accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long‑term client retention.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, industry partners, and internal leadership teams.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and strategic forums.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of regional vice presidents, operational leaders, and functional partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Ensure robust talent pipelines, succession planning, and leadership development across the division.
  • Model the organization’s values and commitment to diversity, equity, and belonging.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Managed Services division, including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning.
  • Optimize operational efficiency, labor productivity, and supply chain performance.
  • Drive margin improvement through disciplined cost management and strategic pricing.
  • Evaluate and manage capital investments, technology deployments, and large‑scale initiatives.
