Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Prescription Refill RN to remotely support our offices. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required
- Current RN state license required
- Current BCLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Oncology experience strongly preferred
- OCN certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing refill requests from pharmacies or patients, verifying the appropriateness of refill.
- Working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and to address any potential issues with medications.
- Providing information about medications, including proper usage, to help patients manage their health effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and medication history/refill approvals to ensure compliance and quality care.
