About The Position
The Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for Preschool & UPK Substitute Teacher Assistants. This role involves supporting the daily activities and curriculum in an assigned classroom, working alongside educators to foster children's social-emotional development and create an encouraging learning environment. The position also requires maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom, ensuring program quality aligned with the Creative Curriculum philosophy and YMCA policies. The role offers a fun, interactive atmosphere with competitive pay, no nights or weekends, and a free YMCA membership.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years’ experience in childcare setting.
- Current CPR PRO & First Aid certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support a classroom where children develop confidence through meaningful learning experiences.
- Support the daily activities and curriculum in an assigned classroom.
- Work alongside educators to support children's social-emotional development.
- Help create a classroom where children feel encouraged to learn.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Ensure program quality in accordance with Creative Curriculum philosophy and YMCA program policies.
