About The Position

The Goddard School in Parkland, Florida, is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing environment for young children. The teacher implements an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using the proprietary Wonder of Learning® program, leads daily activities, and collaborates with a supportive team. Requirements

High school diploma required.
Successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
Able to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, and faculty members.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
2–3 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage children and support their growth.
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate openly, effectively, and positively with families and guardians about children’s progress and daily activities.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities and uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families.
Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers and foster a collaborative, positive team environment.
Model and implement positive guidance strategies that support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
