About The Position

Golden Heart Child Care, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking a child care giver to care for children ages 3 to 6. The role is part of the center’s team and is responsible for meeting each child’s individual needs, treating children with dignity and respect, and building positive relationships with parents. The position also supports the center’s program when the coordinator is absent. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 7- to 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. The anticipated hourly pay range is $14.00–$16.00; the actual offer may depend on qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications or licenses, and location.

Requirements

Coursework that meets Minnesota DHS Assistant Teacher requirements.
A minimum two-year degree that meets Department of Human Services qualifications.
Willingness to perform duties in accordance with the center’s policies and philosophy.
Physical ability to see and hear ongoing activities and lift up to 60 pounds.
Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in child care or early education.

Responsibilities

Help maintain a safe environment by observing whether equipment is appropriate for children’s developmental levels.
Assist with planning and implementing daily activities under the coordinator’s direction.
Plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities.
Observe, record, and report individual child behavior as assigned.
Meet individual children’s needs and treat each child with dignity and respect.
Build positive relationships with parents.
Support the center’s program during the coordinator’s absence.
