About The Position
The Learning Experience – Jenison is looking for an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to work with our energetic 2-year-old learners. You'll help children make the exciting transition from toddlerhood toward preschool by strengthening communication, independence, social skills, and early learning through hands-on activities and consistent classroom routines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Dependable, nurturing, and confident managing a classroom
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred
- Experience working with toddlers or young preschoolers is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
Responsibilities
- Create engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Support early language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence and positive peer interactions
- Guide children through meals, toileting readiness, rest time, learning activities, and transitions
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom
- Communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with your teaching team and center leadership
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
