About The Position

Contra Costa Christian Schools (CCCS) is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher for its campus in Walnut Creek, CA. This is a year-round position that follows the CCCS academic calendar from August through May, including Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break Camps, as well as Summer Camp from June to July. This role is a team-teaching position, offering opportunities for shared responsibilities, mutual learning, and a supportive work environment. CCCS Preschool Teachers are expected to be energetic, nurturing, reliable, professional, and have a love for children. They should be passionate about teaching in a Christ-centered environment and enthusiastic about building a strong foundation of curriculum for beginning learners, with prior teaching experience being a requirement.

Requirements

12+ ECE Units or higher
6 months experience
CPR Certification
Commitment to the Christian faith aligning with CCCS statement of faith

Responsibilities

Work with a team to implement Preschool and Pre-K curriculum, teach, and administer all required duties for safe and effective operation of the preschool.
Adapt activities and support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
Supervise lunch, play time, and other events as assigned.
Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on child development.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom to foster a conducive learning environment.
Follow established protocols for preschool operations.
Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director.
