About The Position
Agri-Business Child Development (ABCD) is a community-focused organization serving children and families through Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, Early Head Start, and Head Start centers. Its work supports children’s education and social needs and aims to help every child thrive. The Preschool Teacher works under the direction of the Education Disability Coordinator to promote child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support. The teacher puts these theories and principles into practice while independently supervising a group of children and coordinating classroom program components in compliance with education program standards. This is a full-time position at the Batavia Center.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field with six credit-bearing courses relevant to early childhood education competencies and experience working with young children is accepted.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently supervise a group of children under the direction of the Education/Disability Coordinator.
- Implement and comply with education program standards.
- Coordinate all components of the program as they apply to the classroom.
- Promote and put into practice principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support.
