Preschool Teacher - Full Time
About The Position
The Westfield Area YMCA has an opening for a Full-Time Preschool Teacher, working with children aged 2 at our Early Learning Center, starting in September. We offer a rewarding, professional, work environment in return for your exceptional care! Applicants must be reliable, dependable and must love working with children. Teachers are responsible for the overall daily operations of their assigned classroom. They provide a balance of activities and experiences developmentally appropriate to the age of the children in the class that fosters independence, and provides opportunities for social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Must maintain a safe & healthy environment at all times.
Requirements
- Must have a CDA and a minimum 1 year experience working with children; or an Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.
- Strong communication skills required
- Must be creative and nurturing
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall daily operations of their assigned classroom.
