About The Position

Lead Teachers at The Learning Experience create opportunities that reflect the organization’s mission to make a difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities. Teachers use a growth mindset to support children’s development and inspire a love of learning. The role involves leading classroom management, maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment, implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, communicating with families, and supporting the center’s goals.

Requirements

At least six months of professional teaching experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional teaching experience.
Associate degree or higher in early childhood education (ECE) or a related field.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom by modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
Manage the classroom and lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Serve as a role model and use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in a way that is consistent with each child’s unique needs.
Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
Communicate regularly with parents about children’s activities and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
Build relationships with families and coworkers and create an environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
