About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and initiating recreational specific programs in correspondence to the facility guidelines. The role requires upholding all City policies and procedures while meeting all specific divisional guidelines. Key duties include implementing lesson plans for the Wraparound Care program, food preparation, ensuring the supervision and safety of participants, child discipline, and general cleanup. The position also involves cash handling and daily reporting, inventory control, processing registrations, and completing miscellaneous daily paperwork required by Children and Family Services (CFS). Superior communication and computer skills are necessary. The individual will have on-site decision-making authority and must relay all important matters to the Supervisor daily. Other related duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Experience working with preschool or elementary age children required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Florida Class "E" Driver's License required within 90 days of hire or promotion
  • Superior communication skills
  • Superior computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or Equivalent preferred
