About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Preschool Special Education Instructional Assistant for the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves supporting the lead classroom teacher in an integrated preschool classroom, assisting with daily routines, providing student supervision and support, and aiding in small group and individual instruction. The assistant will also help with activities of daily living, data collection, and material preparation. The position is located at the Burlington Early Childhood Center.
Requirements
- Experience working in Early Childhood/Preschool
- Understanding of child development and developmental milestones
- Appropriate certification required
Responsibilities
- Support lead classroom teacher in integrated preschool classroom with routines and procedures
- Provide student support and supervision throughout preschool day
- Provide small group and individual support with guidance from lead teacher
- Assist with activities of daily living including toileting and changing diapers
- Collect/record data
- Assist with material preparation
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the preschool director
