About The Position

The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a Business Director to support daily center operations, family engagement, staff coordination, and enrollment activities. This role partners closely with the Center Director to ensure smooth school operations while maintaining a welcoming experience for families and a strong support structure for teachers. This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys leadership responsibilities while balancing administrative coordination and center support throughout the school day.

Requirements

  • Director qualified under Delaware childcare licensing standards, or close to qualification
  • Prior childcare center administrative or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience supporting enrollment conversations or family engagement preferred
  • Ability to rotate shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM
  • Must meet Delaware licensing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support daily center operations and administrative functions
  • Partner with leadership to maintain compliance with Delaware licensing requirements
  • Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage planning
  • Help lead enrollment tours and family onboarding conversations
  • Support tuition processing and enrollment documentation accuracy
  • Maintain student records and regulatory paperwork
  • Provide leadership presence during opening and closing shifts as scheduled
  • Help ensure classrooms maintain ratio and operational consistency
