About The Position

The Learning Experience – Owings Mills is seeking a Business Director to support daily center operations, staff coordination, family engagement, and enrollment activities across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. This role partners closely with the Center Director to help maintain compliance, classroom quality, and a positive experience for children and families. This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who is Infant/Toddler and Preschool qualified (or close to Director qualification) and ready to grow into a center leadership role.

Requirements

  • Infant/Toddler and Preschool qualified under Maryland childcare regulations required
  • Candidates close to Director qualification strongly preferred
  • Prior childcare leadership or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to rotate shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM
  • Must meet Maryland licensing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support daily center operations and administrative coordination
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with Maryland licensing requirements
  • Help manage staff scheduling and classroom coverage across age groups
  • Support enrollment tours and family onboarding conversations
  • Maintain student records and regulatory documentation
  • Provide leadership presence during opening and closing shifts as scheduled
  • Assist with ratio management and classroom support when needed
  • Partner with leadership to maintain consistent classroom quality
