Preschool Assistant Teacher
About The Position
The Malvern School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for the Preschool classroom at its Warrington location, Monday through Friday. The teacher assists in implementing an Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy, maintains a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology. The school emphasizes innovative programming, a quality child-centered philosophy, teamwork, a professional atmosphere, ongoing professional development, and opportunities for career advancement. Its curriculum is designed to meet or exceed standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Requirements
- High school diploma and at least 18 years of age.
- At least 2,500 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility; or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
- Communicate regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
