About The Position
Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for its Copper Hill school. The Assistant Guide supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom for children ages 0–6, including Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6. The role helps create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and develop at their own pace. The Assistant Guide helps prepare intentional learning spaces and supports individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The role contributes to children's independence, confidence, and love of learning, while building relationships with families and collaborating with Lead Guides and other team members. Guidepost Montessori is a network of over 100 schools across the U.S. and Asia, serving children from 3 months to 6 years old. Requirements
- Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
- A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
- A genuine love for working with young children.
- Child Development background with 12 core Early Childhood Education units.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.
- Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
- Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
- Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
- Support individual and small-group learning activities.
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
- Collaborate with Lead Guides and fellow team members to create a strong classroom community.
