About The Position

As the Preschool Assistant Principal at Chesterbrook Academy, you will play a pivotal leadership role in supporting the success of our students, staff, and school community. This role is ideal for an early childhood educator and administrator who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment. The Preschool Assistant Principal supports high-quality early learning, staff mentorship, school operations, and a safe, nurturing culture in which young children can grow and thrive.

Requirements

  • At least one year of classroom teaching experience required; three or more years preferred.
  • Meets or exceeds all state-specific education, experience, licensing, and certification requirements for preschool administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven commitment to staff development, high-quality early childhood education, and continuous school improvement.
  • Must successfully pass federal and state background checks.
  • Must comply with all state education and licensing standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in education administration or business administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the school administration team and supporting daily school operations across curriculum, staff performance, student experience, and family engagement.
  • Support the implementation of the Spring Education Curriculum to ensure a high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood program.
  • Observe and evaluate teachers, provide constructive feedback, and promote a professional culture focused on instructional improvement and positive outcomes for children.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and engaging school environment that supports the health, development, and well-being of every child.
  • Assist with student enrollment, family retention, community relations, and implementation of local marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, families, and the local community to strengthen school culture and family satisfaction.
  • Support staff development and accreditation processes to meet and exceed educational quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and health and safety practices.
