About The Position
Preschool & Toddler Aides at Kamaʻāina Kids help create safe, happy, and engaging classrooms where children can learn to trust, explore, make friends, and discover their potential. Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Enjoy working with young children and helping them learn through play
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)
Nice To Haves
- 12–24 months of experience caring for children under age 3 in a licensed childcare setting
- Infant/Toddler training completed or willingness to obtain it with our support
Responsibilities
- Help create a classroom where children feel safe, included, and excited to learn
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Participate in art, music, stories, sensory play, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning
- Encourage independence, curiosity, communication, and confidence
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and your teaching team
- Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for the next adventure
