About The Position

Every Child Deserves Someone Excited to See Them Walk Through the Door. Some jobs are about checking off a to-do list. This isn't one of them. At Kamaʻāina Kids, the little things matter—welcoming a child with a smile, helping them master a new skill, reading the same favorite story for the tenth time, and celebrating moments that seem small but mean everything. We're looking for caring, dependable people to join our preschool team in Hawaiʻi Kai. Whether you've worked with children before or you're ready to start a career in early childhood education, we'll give you the training and support to succeed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with children is helpful—but not required
• A willingness to learn and complete required childcare training (we'll help you every step of the way)
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)

Responsibilities

• Play, read, sing, create, and explore alongside preschoolers
• Help children build confidence, independence, and friendships
• Support classroom routines including meals, outdoor play, and rest time
• Assist teachers with activities and learning centers
• Keep classrooms clean, organized, and safe
• Be a positive role model who helps children feel secure and valued
